Dear Cavett Families,
We hope that 2015 is off to a great start for your student. Lincoln Public Schools district wellness is offering an opportunity for schools to focus on health through challenges. Our third quarter challenge is entitled The Super Snack Power Challenge.
The goal of this challenge is to help students recognize the link between how much they move and how much they should be eating, as well as what foods are better options as healthy after-school or night snacks.
Students work hard during the school day and having a chance to be active after school helps them both in health and learning. Some students are extremely active outside of school, however, many are less active. Helping all children find ways they can have fun being active throughout their lives is our ultimate goal for building a healthy future for our community.
Your child will have their Super Snack Power Challenge sheet in their Friday Folder. The challenge begins on Friday, January 30th and ends Friday, February 6th. Please talk with your child and help them fill out the form. There is a prize for the class that turns in the most filled out challenge sheets!
Thank you for partnering with us in building a bright future for your child.
