The Lincoln Public Schools District Office was paid a friendly visit by one of its most generous students on Monday, July 30. Preston Sorensen, a seven-year-old Cavett student, donated a trunk load of school supplies for needy children in the district.

Sorensen, who will be a second grader, celebrated his seventh birthday on July 24 by asking his friends to bring school supplies, rather than birthday gifts, to his birthday party.

Despite his friends' generosity to help with his project, Preston said some of his friends were a little sneaky.

"A couple of friends might have slipped in a gift," he said.

In loving memory of Mrs. Dorcas Crawford Cavett.
